1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit our website, contact us about a partnership, work with us as a brand partner or supplier, or buy a product we sell on a marketplace. It also explains why we process that data, how long we keep it and what rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. Data we collect
Business contacts and prospective partners
- Name, company, role, email address, phone number and the content of your enquiry.
- Commercial details you share with us — catalogue data, pricing, volumes, contract terms.
- Records of our correspondence, calls and meetings relating to the partnership.
Marketplace customers
- Order data supplied by the marketplace: name, delivery address, order contents, order value.
- Service history: messages, warranty and return requests, refund records.
Website visitors
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring page.
- Data from cookies and similar technologies, where you consent to them.
3. Why we process it, and on what basis
- Contract — to negotiate and perform partner agreements, list and sell products, fulfil orders, handle returns and provide support.
- Legitimate interests — to run and secure our business, keep records of our commercial relationships, prevent fraud and abuse, and contact business prospects about relevant services.
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and for marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation — to meet accounting, tax, customs, consumer-protection and product-compliance duties.
4. Who we share data with
We share personal data only where it is needed to deliver the service:
- Marketplaces and sales channels we operate on for you, including Amazon, eBay, Kaufland, Etsy and Shopify-based stores.
- Logistics, warehousing and courier partners handling inbound stock and outbound deliveries.
- Software providers that host our systems, accounting and communication tools, acting as processors under written agreements.
- Professional advisers, auditors and authorities where we are legally required to disclose.
We do not sell personal data. Where a provider is outside the UK, transfers rely on UK adequacy regulations or the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a relationship: up to 12 months from last contact.
- Partner and supplier records: for the term of the agreement and 6 years afterwards, in line with UK accounting and tax rules.
- Order, warranty and returns data: as required by consumer-protection and tax law, typically up to 6 years.
- Website analytics: up to 14 months.
6. Your rights
You may ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, or transfer it to another provider. You may also withdraw consent at any time and, where you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
Write to privacy@anythinglisted.com and we will respond within one month.
7. Security
Access to partner and customer data is limited to staff who need it, protected by individual accounts, multi-factor authentication and encrypted connections. Suppliers are contractually bound to equivalent standards.
8. Cookies
Essential cookies keep the site working. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set if you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the site footer or from your browser settings.
9. How we use AI
We use AI tools to help with tasks such as drafting listing content, forecasting demand, monitoring account health, triaging customer messages and preparing reports. Where those tools process personal data, we do so under the bases set out in section 3 and only for the purposes described in this policy.
- People review and approve customer-facing content and decisions. We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about individuals solely by automated means.
- We do not use personal data or partner data to train public AI models, and we require our AI providers to process it only to deliver their service to us.
- Providers act as processors under written agreements; transfers outside the UK follow the safeguards in section 4.
If you would like to know more about how AI is used with your data, or to object to it, write to privacy@anythinglisted.com.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, where the change is significant, tell partners directly.
